TIXEL Fractional Skin Rejuvenation Technology

Tixel is not a laser,  is a novel non-ablative fractional skin rejuvenation technology that uses thermo-mechanical energy to improve skin’s firmness and texture.

Novoxel’s patented titanium plate is heated to 400 degrees celsius within the handpiece. The titanium plate has 81 blunt pyramidal projections, 24 on a small plate specifically designed for use around the eyes.

The technique is non-invasive with the heated plate being momentarily applied to the skin’s surface. The plates projections do not puncture the skin, but rather create micron sized channels in the skin’s tissue to stimulate new collagen generation.

FAQ’s

How do I prepare for TIXEL Treatment?
TIXEL treatment cannot be used while pregnant or breastfeeding.

Do not use active tan for 3 weeks prior to treatment.

How long does a TiXEL procedure take?
A very light treatment would have the plate in contact with the skin’s surface for six milliseconds. This is just enough time to fracture the barrier of the skin’s surface in dots corresponding to the tips of the pyramids, dehydrate the surface at these sites and make an ideal portal to encourage applied serums to enter the skin far better than is possible with an untreated skin.

Stronger treatments involve the plate contacting the skin for as long as fourteen milliseconds. This produces an effect more like fractional laser resurfacing.

How long will it take to see results?
For facial skin results can be seen 4-6 weeks after treatment. For dry eye treatment, most will notice improvements after one session. A series of treatments may be required however to achieve maximise benefits.
Is TIXEL Safe?
TIXEL treatments are predictable and effective. You should speak with your practitioner about your complete medical and skin history to minimise the potential for any negative reactions.
How long will the results last?
For patients with dry eye symptoms, most clients will repeat treatment yearly, but this will vary according to individual symptoms.

For skin maintenance, treatments may be repeated according to need which will depend on individual ageing charactoristics, environmental exposure and desire.
