The appearance of dehydration, poor skin quality, crepiness and loss of elasticity on the hands, neck, face and decolletage can be improved by hydrating treatments.

Hyaluronic acid is a major component of the skin. When the skin is exposed to environmental factors such as the sun, pollution, and the effects of free radicals on the skin cells, the natural substance responsible for maintaining skin hydration, diminishes.

The skin can be directly rehydrated by a series of hydrating treatments. This then binds and better maintains the water level (hydration) of the tissues.

How many treatments are required and how often?

Improvement can be seen after a single treatment but for more lasting results, a series of two to four treatments two-weeks apart is recommended with a single maintenance treatment performed at least every six months.

How do I prepare for my hydrating treatment?

In the 2 weeks prior to your appointment, please ensure that you have no vaccinations or dental appointments and that the skin is healthy and in tact prior to treatment.

Are there any side-effects?

After the procedure some bruising and puffiness may be expected with multiple small bumps like hundreds of mosquito bites. This usually settles quickly and is usually less with subsequent treatments as the skin integrity improves.  A session of Xen LED may  be beneficial in improving healing time.
