Ultherapy Prime (MFU-V)

Ultherapy Prime is a device using Micro-Focused Ultrasound with Visualisation to enable the operator to accurately target the desired layers beneath the skin. As the layers can be seen on the ultrasound screen, the ultrasound energy can then be delivered to exactly the right place producing a more effective and efficient result without harming other tissues.

What is Ultherapy Prime used for?

It may be used to gradually produce a lifting and firming effect by targeting the fascial layers underneath the skin. The lifting effect is gradual, continuing for up to 12 months after treatment.

Most frequently, it is used for the face and neck, with treatments taking 45-90 minutes, depending on the areas targeted. It may be used to elevate a sagging brow, lift sagging or jowling of the cheeks and improve jawlines and laxity of the neck.

Is there recovery time?

There is generally no downtime with minor post-procedure pinkness resolving quickly.

How many treatments will I need?

Most patients will have a single treatment to produce the required effect with maintenance after a year. Those who need more lifting may need more treatment.

Am I a suitable candidate for Ultherapy Prime?

Are treatments painful?

The treatments are more comfortable than with previous generations of the device. Most patients cope well with the procedure.

What to expect during treatment.

Photos, including 3D photos will be taken prior to the procedure. There will be lines down on your face which will be wiped off afterwards. A gel will be smoothed onto your skin and then the applicator is passed over the desired area delivering “lines” of treatment. You can even watch the ultrasound screen if you want!

Is there any downtime?

Most people carry on with their usual daily activities, as normal.

When will I see results?

There may be some early improvement, but long-term results will be gradual and progressive over 12 months.
